What Are Acrylic Patches? Everything You Need to Know

The Laser-Cut Hat Accessory Everyone Is Asking About
If you've seen a hat with a bold, colorful 3D logo that doesn't look like regular embroidery or flat printing, you've probably seen an acrylic patch. At Kraft Life, acrylic patches are one of our most popular services — and for good reason. They look sharp, they last, and they make hats look like they came from a high-end boutique.

How Are Acrylic Patches Made?
Acrylic patches start as flat sheets of colored acrylic. We use a laser cutter to cut the design from multiple layers of color, which are then laminated together to create a multi-layer, dimensional look. The result is a clean, precise patch with incredible detail — perfect for logos, text, and graphics.
How Do They Attach?
We use American-made heat-activated adhesive that creates a permanent, industry-leading bond. The patch is pressed directly onto the hat using a commercial heat press. The bond is strong enough to survive washing, UV exposure, and everyday wear without peeling or lifting.
Tri-Color vs. Full Color
Most of our Lake Anna designs use a tri-color acrylic patch — three layers of contrasting colors that give a bold, dimensional look at a great price point. We also offer full-color options for more complex artwork. Not sure which is right for your design? We'll help you figure it out during your free consultation.

Can I Put a Patch on My Own Hat?
Yes — we sell acrylic patches separately, or we can apply one to a hat you already own. Bring it in or mail it in, and we'll press the patch and send it back. We can also design a patch from scratch based on your logo or idea.
